Two things that we pick up regularly during our Saturday stop at the Western Fair Farmer's Market are fresh local blueberries (available from a variety of different vendors) and stone ground wheat tortillas from J & D Peters of Vienna. These tortillas are phenomenal... made with organic whole wheat and no preservatives they're the softest, freshest tortillas I've ever eaten. They make the prepackaged ones from the grocery store (Old El Paso and the like) taste like dried-out flattened car tires in comparison. Breakfast this morning featured both of these market treats - what we call "peanut butter roll-ups" (those amazing tortillas spread with peanut butter and honey before rolling) and dozens of fresh berries. What a great way to start the day, and to give us lots of energy for our visit to Sunfest this afternoon!
