0We spent the afternoon yesterday at Sunfest enjoying the sun (thankfully - we would hate to think "Sunfest" was misnamed), battling the crowds, eating yummy International food, perusing the craft vendors and of course listening to amazing music from all over the world. It's one of my favourite London festivals, followed closely by the Home County Folk Festival which will be in full swing next weekend. The focus of Sunfest is the music, with groups and solo artists from as far away as Africa and Asia... and with the sound of vocalists, drums, guitars and soul the vibe in Victoria Park is fantastic. I could easily post several pictures of this event for our photo-of-the-day, but this one of a hand-crafted chicken made of recycled steel by African artist Paddington Mupiwe charms me every time I look at it. Nice visual memory of a great afternoon...
