Photo of the Day January 10th

Sophie opened what I anticipate will be her last Christmas present of the year today. As mentioned in a previous post we do tend to draw things out a bit at Christmas time, but opening a present this far into January is odd even for us. The gift in question was a wonderful Dr. Seuss book from Uncle Al, and it had been tucked away in Chris's book bag, which in turn was nestled in the trunk of his mother's car - we finally picked it up and revealed Sophie's long-awaited gift today. She was thrilled, and took lots of time pointing out all the words she recognized and could read... I know we'll enjoy many bedtime stories from this book in the weeks to come.
