This photo pretty much sums up our entire day. Between exhaustion from our very busy weekend and the cold that seemed to spring on Sophie out of nowhere, today was a day to do nothing at all. Sophie stayed home from school and convalesced on the couch, Chris and I whipped up a couple of home-made soups (corn chowder and vegetable noodle), and we basically looked after ourselves. By the evening things were on an up-turn, with Sophie feeling well enough to attend her Messy Madness craft class while I went to my NIA class. I think I'll keep Sophie home from school one more day to make sure she's really beat the bug, and we might just see day-of-rest part two tomorrow.
